Dr. Angelo Appiotti is one of the most acclaimed Ophthalmological surgeons in Italy in the ophthalmologic field, a specialist in refractive surgery, corneal surgery, surgery for cataracts and glaucoma and in the treatment of eye diseases, with the most advanced and modern diagnostic and surgical instruments.
Continuous updating through active participation and organization of courses, seminars and scientific publications, and the use of state-of-the-art techniques and surgical instruments are a legacy for visual protection and cure for eye diseases and visual defects.
Dr. Appiotti does not limit himself to operating on the eyes of his patients, but pays attention to and takes care of the whole person. These are the basic principles of the philosophy that inspires surgeons and the human being.
The passion and love for his work and his sensitivity to those who suffer are motives that urged Dr. Appiotti to take part in humanitarian missions as a volunteer ophthalmologist in Africa, India, South America over long periods of time. He and Dr. Elias Michael are currently building a surgical center in Bolivia.
He also has a passion for golf, and has been practicing this sport for over ten years, and has in his free time participated in competitions not only in Italy.
