Dr. Appiotti studied a sample of people who had undergone refractive surgery to verify the improvement of performance after refractive surgery. The results derived from the stabilometric platform of the DELOS system before and after microsurgical laser surgery with the TLCT were compared.

The DELOS is a digital instrument composed of an electronic basculant platform which creates continuous stability conditions but at the same time can also be controlled at each inclination. This system is connected to a monitor which furnishes the visual feedback in real time with a remarkable increase of the number of biomechanical conditions which the patient must handle, since the flow of proprioceptive signals increase at a high frequency and are able to reprogram the control system of posture and movement.
All this goes to fine-tune the strength of stabilizing and directing muscles, on which precision and efficiency of technical gestures depend, stabilizing the joints of the lower limbs, the shoulder and the back, and minimizing those superfluous movements that alter posture stability. |
